If you have been researching TiviMate you have almost certainly seen TiviMate Companion mentioned alongside it and wondered why there are two separate apps. What Is TiviMate Companion?

Why Does TiviMate Need a Separate App to Unlock Premium?
TiviMate runs on Firestick and Android TV boxes — devices that often do not have the Google Play Store installed. Amazon Firestick in particular runs a modified version of Android with the Amazon App Store rather than Google Play. TiviMate itself is sideloaded onto Firestick via Downloader rather than downloaded from the Play Store.
Because TiviMate on Firestick has no way to process in-app purchases through the Play Store, the developer created a separate route. You install TiviMate Companion on an Android phone or tablet that does have Google Play, purchase the Premium subscription through Companion, and then sign into the same account on your Firestick. The Premium features unlock on the Firestick even though the payment was processed on the phone.
In short: Companion is the payment and activation mechanism for devices that cannot use Play Store billing directly.
What Does TiviMate Premium Actually Unlock?
The free version of TiviMate works for basic IPTV playback but Premium adds features that make a significant practical difference for daily use:

Do You Need TiviMate Companion?

You need TiviMate Companion if: You use TiviMate on Firestick, Fire TV, or an Android TV box without Google Play, and you want to upgrade to Premium. Companion is how you pay for and activate Premium on those devices.
You do not need it if: You use TiviMate on an Android TV device with the Google Play Store installed. On those devices you can purchase Premium directly through the Play Store within the TiviMate app itself without installing Companion separately.
How to Use TiviMate Companion to Unlock Premium

- Search for TiviMate Companion and install it — it is free
- Open Companion and tap Sign Up to create a TiviMate account using your email address
- Select a subscription plan — annual (~$5-12/year depending on region) or lifetime. A 7-day free trial is available
- Complete payment through Google Play billing on your phone
- On your Firestick or Android TV box open TiviMate
- Go to Settings > Premium and tap Sign In
- Enter the same email and password you used when creating your account in Companion
